In nächster Zukunft planen die USA auf Cyber Attacken handfeste Vergeltungsschläge. Ziele dürften Computer sein, von welchen die Cyber Attacken ausgehen. Ob damit auch ausländische Orte angegriffen werden, ist noch unklar,- auszuschließen ist das aber nicht. Was für Konsequenzen das auf den Weltfrieden haben könnte, ebenfalls nicht. Angenommen der Fall, dass einige Kid`s in China auf die Idee kommen, die Home Page des Pentagon zu stören, und die Herren dieses Club das als ernstzunehmenden Angriff auslegen,- gute Nacht.
Ausdrücklich werden die Umstände,- Tod, Zerstörung, Störung, in massiver Form durch das Internet, als Angriff ausgelegt. gz

The U.S. military is no stranger to the brisk pace of technology, but usually its efforts to keep up involve high tech equipment rather than high tech policy. According to The Wall Street Journal, the Pentagon is taking a firm stance with its first formal cyber strategy, laying out the very real consequences for virtual attacks that could pose a risk to the nation.
The new cyber strategy reportedly emphasizes the "equivalence" of malicious web intrusions to traditional attacks on U.S. soil. If such an attack creates "death, damage, destruction or a high level of disruption" equal to a traditional attack (one not based in the web) then the military could retaliate using deadly force.
While there is no international precedent for the rules of cyber-war, the Pentagon seeks to lay out a framework that will dictate its actions in the era of virtual warfare. The newly-penned cyber strategy document will be officially released next month.
